Snow!

I am finally getting around to posting the snow pictures I took on February 16 of this year. We had about four inches of beautiful snow. It was the first snow we have had in several years, and the first in our new home. For the Northerners and those who receive frequent snows amongst my readers, please be patient with a snow-starved Southerner! Without further ado, behold the beauty of winter wonderland:

I hope you enjoyed these few snippets of our life here on our little farm. I am working on a post about college and hope to share it soon, if the Lord wills.

  1. How beautiful.
We don't get snow here. I've always wished we did. Every once in while we will get the tiniest bit of snow, that melts as soon as it hits the ground. So it really doesn't count.
Do you guys raise any animals on your farm?

    1. We don't get a whole lot of snow here either...I think we average about 3 inches or so a year. It is certainly better than nothing, though :)

We don't "raise" any animals on the farm right now, but we are working towards that goal. There are several laying hens and two dogs currently living on the property, but we hope to begin raising laying hens soon. Probably, other than laying chickens, the next animals we will get are broiler chickens and honey bees.

      Thanks for your comment!

  2. Your photographs are stunning and your property is sooo beautiful in the snow! It reminds me of something cozy like Little Women or Little House on the Prairie. :)
